MiCasaShalom Assisted Care LLC offers short-stay, non-medical post-operative discharge recovery support for ambulatory adults following surgery.
This service is designed to support individuals during the critical first days after discharge, when comfort, safety, and a calm environment matter most.
Our focus is on post-operative discharge recovery support — not medical treatment — delivered in a quiet, home-like setting that promotes rest, mobility, and peace of mind.
Who This Service Is For
Post-Operative Discharge Recovery Care is ideal for individuals who:
Have undergone surgery
Have been discharged as medically stable
Are ambulatory with or without assistance
Need short-term support during the first 3–5 days after surgery
Prefer a quiet, structured recovery environment rather than being alone at home or in a busy home environment.
This service is commonly utilized following hospitalization or procedures such as cosmetic surgery, general surgery, and other elective operations, based on surgeon discharge instructions.
Length of Stay
Short-term stays only
Minimum stay: 3 days
Typical stay: 3–5 days
Extended stay: 5-10days
This service is not designed for long-term care or medical oversight.
What We Provide
Mobility & Safety Support
Sit-to-stand assistance using mobility-support recliners
Ambulation support as tolerated
Wheelchair assistance for transfers (car to home)
Bathroom safety support, including grab bars, shower chair, and elevated toilet seat
Comfort & Recovery Optimized Environment
Private, quiet recovery space
Positioning support for comfort and rest
Thermoregulation support (heated blanket as tolerated)
Diet appropriate home-cooked meals, snacks and drinks
Calm surroundings designed to promote health and speedy recovery
Observation & Recovery Support
General observation of comfort, mobility, and tolerance of activity
Support with surgeon-directed recovery instructions
Encouragement of rest, hydration, and light activity as appropriate
Timely escalation if concerning changes are observed
Encouragement to comply with discharge plan
Supported Hospitality Includes:—
Supported ambulation for hygiene care and initial shower as requested
Meal support and hydration reminders
Ambulation reminders during recovery
Pain control reminders
Recovery enhancing personal errands
Post-Operative Transportation Support
Scheduled round-trip transportation following day of surgery discharge
Transportation from the surgical facility to the recovery residence
Return transportation to the physician’s office for the first post-operative follow-up visit, when applicable
Transportation support is provided to assist with safe transitions during the immediate post-operative period. This service is non-medical in nature and does not include medical monitoring or emergency transport.
What We Do NOT Provide
Care for medically unstable individuals
This service does not include ambulance services, medical transport, or emergency transportation.
Clients remain under the care of their surgeon and licensed medical providers at all times.
Safety & Escalation
Your safety is a priority.
If any concerning symptoms arise — such as severe pain, shortness of breath, bleeding, fever, or changes in mental status — appropriate escalation will occur, including:
Contacting the surgeon and/or
Activating emergency services (911) when indicated

MiCasaShalom Assisted Care LLC:
Is not a medical or rehab facility
Does not replace hospital, physician, or home health care
Provides non-medical recovery support only
